Maulana Syed Manzoor Raza Abedi, son of Late Mir Hurmath Ali, was born in 1971 in Alipur, Karnataka. An Islamic scholar, educator, and community leader, he completed sixteen years of Islamic studies, including a decade at the Hawza of Qom, Iran (1989–1999). He has devoted much of his life to religious education, community service, and sharing the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.). From 2000 to 2012, he served as Imam-e-Jumu’ah at Masjid Imam Reza in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. In October 2026, he took up the role of Imam-e-Jumu’ah wa Jama’ah at Masjid-e-Jafria, Alipur. He established Al-Hadi Center in Bengaluru and the Wal-Fajr Foundation and serves as Director of Wal-Fajr Channel. He also served on the Karnataka State Haj Committee and has contributed to several religious and charitable organisations. Through his lectures and community work, he continues to promote Islamic learning and service.
